Franjo Hoti was born in 1931. in the village of Novačka, in Prekodravska Podravina. In 1952 he graduated from the Teacher’s School in Zagreb.
As a teacher from 1953 to 1964, he worked in Kupinec, Crna Mlaka, Zagreb, Samobor, Starogradecki Marof, and Korea.
1964 – becomes a professional painter, a member of the Croatian Artists’ Association. In Susedgrad, Zagreb opened an atellier in 1974.
He died in 2013 at the age of 82.
